People. I'm still into football. Seriously! And for the record, I'm into football, the game, not just the players. Michelle, you were right last week - you did create a monster! Thank you! I love it!
How much do I love it? I think I noted on my last football related post that I was not only watching the NFL, but I was also watching college football. Well, this past Saturday night I canceled plans so that I could stay home and watch whatever game was on. I switched back and forth between a few of them.
Crazy! I canceled plans to watch football. I might do it again next weekend!
In the seasons past, I hated Sunday because it always meant a fight with the Husband. I would want to go out and he would insist on staying home to watch the game. The only thing I knew about football then was what a bye week was - the only Sunday during football season that we didn't argue. AKA the Pats week off.
This year is different. During the first few weeks of the season, the Husband wasn't sure how to act when I would answer the question,"What do you want to do today?" with "I want to stay in and watch football ALL DAY." My side of our conversations went something like this:
"Yes I Know its nice outside. No, this is not a trick. No, I'm not kidding, I want to stay in and watch football. I'm serious. You asked that already, this is not a trick. No, I'm not up to something."
Now that he knows I'm serious, the Husband is loving it. He comes home at the end of the day and asks me if there is anything new going on in the world of football. We have intense, educated conversations about football. I love it! Why was I so reluctant to jump on before?!
